We are a small team that makes it all happen — a family-owned New Zealand business established in 2001. Many of our staff have been with us for more than a decade, and two have been part of the business for over 20 years.
We are proud to be a New Zealand-owned specialty retailer focused on practical, affordable products for pregnancy, babies and young families.
From pregnancy to birth and beyond, our aim has always been simple: help families find products that suit their needs without unnecessarily stretching their budgets.
Our Story
Babyonline has been part of New Zealand’s baby retail market since 2001. Alongside the Babyonline online store, we also operated a nationwide network of physical stores under the Nappies For Less name.
At its peak, the network included around 25 Nappies For Less stores throughout New Zealand, giving families access to nappies, baby essentials and other products through local stores as well as online.
Over time, the retail market changed significantly. Larger national retailers expanded further into baby products, while more customers moved towards shopping online. As the market evolved, we gradually reduced the physical store network and concentrated more strongly on Babyonline online and our Auckland stores.
Today, Babyonline serves customers throughout New Zealand through babyonline.co.nz and operates two Auckland locations in Mt Wellington and Manukau.
Two Nappies For Less stores also continue to operate under separate ownership and stock selected products from our ranges.
Babyonline has also grown alongside our own team and their families. Over the years, every baby born into our staff families has worn nappies that we stocked at the time — although the brands and products have certainly changed along the way.
More recently, we have welcomed a second generation of babies into the Babyonline family, with children of long-standing team members now becoming parents themselves. After more than 20 years in the baby industry, it is a lovely reminder that Babyonline has grown alongside generations of New Zealand families, including our own.
Why Families Shop at Babyonline
A New Zealand Business with Experience
We have been serving New Zealand families for more than two decades. We are not a marketplace or a temporary online store — we have a long-standing local team, physical stores and people you can contact when you need help.
Shop Online for Delivery or Pick Up or Shop directly at Auckland Stores
You can shop online from anywhere in New Zealand or visit our stores in Mt Wellington and Manukau. For larger purchases such as car seats, prams, cots and nursery products, having the option to see selected products in person can make choosing easier.
Eligible online orders can also be collected. See our store locations, opening hours and pick up information.
Local Stock and NZ-Wide Delivery
We hold stock in New Zealand and deliver throughout the country. This means customers can shop with a local retailer rather than waiting for products to be supplied from an overseas seller.
Delivery costs and conditions vary depending on the order and destination. See our current Delivery Charges & Policy.
Our Own Baby Gear Ranges
Across many of our baby-gear categories, including nappies, car seats, prams, cots and nursery products, we focus on our own ranges and brands.
In other areas such as feeding, toys, bath products and accessories, we also stock selected established brands along our own brands. This gives us the flexibility to offer practical products across different needs and price points.
Local Support After You Buy
If you need help with an order, delivery, collection or return, you are dealing with a New Zealand business with local staff and physical stores.
Our Returns Policy explains what applies if you order the wrong product, change your mind or have a problem with an item.
