Dryups baby nappies size guide

The price

So let’s start with number one. Let’s be honest, babies are not cheap! It’s safe to say that they can be pretty expensive when it comes to kitting them out.

I can definitely say that, for me, when looking at nappies, the best value for the best quality is 100% top of my list of priorities.

The average newborn baby can be expected to need changing as many as 10-12 times a day! As you can imagine, going through this many nappies over a period of time will significantly add up.

The quality

Moving onto my number two… a baby’s skin is so delicate and sensitive, especially in the first few months of being born. I have very sensitive skin, so my girls are naturally also prone to this too.

It is so important that the nappy material itself is good quality and is comfortable for your baby. Because let’s be honest, if baby isn’t happy, they will let us know about it.

Absorbency

Probably one of the most important factors when choosing a nappy is the absorbency. The whole point in putting your baby in a nappy is to ensure that it’s doing its job – absorbing the wee. Finding a nappy which doesn’t leak is an absolute essential.

It’s well-known that nappies can also cause nappy rash, so it is so important that they absorb the wetness well and keep it contained to avoid irritation to the skin.

The fit

All babies are different sizes and shapes. So finding a comfortable fit is super important. There is nothing worse than a nappy that just doesn’t stretch over your baby’s thighs and is too tight around the waist area. If babies are restricted by a tight, uncomfortable nappy then it completely limits their movement.

Wetness indicator

Last but not least, I do love a nappy that has a wetness indicator. It is 100% revolutionary!

Sometimes it can be hard to tell if baby has had a wet nappy, especially if there isn’t a lot of wee. Now there’s no reason to keep guessing. As soon as your baby has a wet nappy, the indication changes to green and you know that the nappy needs to be changed.
